L’Oréal
UX/UI and front-end development for one of the world’s leading beauty brands, contributing to the delivery of a polished digital experience within an international brand environment.
Introduction
Working with L’Oréal provided the opportunity to apply UX/UI and front-end development experience within a major international consumer brand, where presentation, consistency and attention to detail were particularly important.
The project involved translating established creative and brand requirements into an effective digital interface, balancing the visual expectations associated with L’Oréal with the practical requirements of usability and web development. It was another valuable example of working within a large organisation where the digital experience needed to support both a strong brand identity and the needs of its users.

Working Within a Global Brand
Working on a digital project for L’Oréal meant operating within an established international brand environment. The visual identity was already clearly defined, so an important part of the work was translating those brand requirements effectively into the digital interface.
This required attention to typography, imagery, layout and consistency while ensuring that the resulting pages remained practical and usable on the web.
From Creative Design to Working Interface
My involvement combined UX/UI considerations with front-end development, helping turn the project’s creative direction into a functioning digital experience.
This type of work requires more than reproducing a visual design. The interface also needs to work across different content, screen sizes and user interactions while maintaining the quality and consistency expected of the brand.
Balancing Brand, Usability and Technology
The L’Oréal project provided further experience of the relationship between brand design and digital usability. Strong visual presentation is important for a consumer brand, but it still needs to support clear navigation, accessible content and an intuitive experience.
That balance between brand requirements, user needs and technical implementation has remained an important consideration throughout my subsequent UX/UI and digital consultancy work.
