HH Global – HHub

UX/UI consultancy and front-end development for a global marketing services organisation, working on a digital platform designed to support the management and delivery of marketing activity.

Introduction

HH Global is an international marketing services business working with major brands across multiple markets. My work centred on HHub, its digital marketing platform, and combined UX/UI consultancy with hands-on interface development.

The engagement involved working within a complex business application where usability, clear presentation of information and consistent interface design were particularly important. It provided valuable experience of applying UX and front-end expertise to a substantial enterprise platform rather than a conventional public-facing website.

Working on a Complex Business Platform

HHub was very different from a conventional public-facing website. As a business application supporting marketing activity, it needed to present substantial amounts of information and functionality in a way that remained clear and manageable for its users.

My work involved considering how complex processes and information could be translated into effective user interfaces, while ensuring that the visual and interaction patterns remained consistent across the platform.

Combining UX/UI Consultancy and Development

The engagement combined UX/UI consultancy with hands-on front-end development. This meant working not only on how individual screens should look and behave, but also considering the broader usability and consistency of the application.

Being able to work across both design and implementation helped bridge the gap between the intended user experience and the practical realities of developing a substantial business application.

UX for Business Applications

Working on HHub reinforced an important distinction between designing marketing websites and designing tools that people need to use as part of their everyday work. Business applications need to help users understand information, navigate processes and complete tasks efficiently, often within systems containing considerable underlying complexity.

That experience became particularly valuable in later projects involving dashboards, workflow applications and other complex digital products, where good UX is as much about simplifying tasks and information as it is about visual design.
